JOY Bomb London (London, UK) was founded by outsider British artist Amy B.
Amy explores the themes of love, death, and sex in the context of 21st-century femininity. Her works are born out of her personal experience of losing her husband to a two-year battle with ALS, which left her grappling with the complexities of grief and loss.
Through her art, she seeks to interrogate the ways in which women are both consumers and consumed by contemporary society. Her work is characterized by a bold, confrontational aesthetic that draws on a range of media, including painting, sculpture, and performance art. One of the key themes that runs through her work is the idea of joy as an act of resistance. In a world that can often feel overwhelming and oppressive, she sees the pursuit of joy as a radical act of defiance, a way of asserting agency and taking control of one's own narrative. At the same time, she does not shy away from the darker aspects of human experience.
Her work often explores the ways in which love, death, and sex can be both sources of pleasure and pain, and how they are intertwined with power and control.
Amy's art is a powerful testament to the resilience and creativity of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Through her work, she challenges us to think deeply about the world we live in and our place within it, and to embrace joy and pleasure as acts of resistance and self-expression

Artists applying to our TRIBECA ART SHOW happening December 2023, will be eligible to WIN a TWO WEEK Artist Residency in Southern France at La Maison de Beaumont.
Additionally: La Maison will exhibit a work of art created during the residency, artist must agree to donate one work to La Maison de Beaumont.
The artist’s work of art donated will be added to La Maison’s Permanent Art Collection.
